Improving poison control data quality is essential before feeding data into a nationwide poison centre data repository and surveillance system. The BC Drug and Poison Information Centre (DPIC) has been piloting a program to improve data quality and consistency at Poison Control Centres across Canada. Results have been increased coding consistency and data capture, within the DPIC.
