Life After TB

Summary: People treated for TB often live with significant physical, mental, and socioeconomic challenges that persist long after they are considered “cured” from TB disease. In this talk we will discuss the challenges that people face after completing TB therapy and potential interventions that may improve the health and wellbeing of people treated for TB. Speakers: Kamila Romanowski is a PhD candidate at the University of British Columbia and a researcher within TB Services at the BC Centre for Disease Control. She is interested in epidemiology, implementation science, and the long term health outcomes of people who experience TB. Dr. Jay Johnston is the Evaluation Lead at Provincial TB Services, Head of the Division of Respiratory Medicine at Vancouver General Hospital, and Associate Clinical Professor in the UBC Department of Medicine.
