We conducted the first cohort study of post-TB airway disease from a low-TB-incidence setting. We used health administrative data to analyze the risk of post-TB airway
disease using modern epidemiological methods. We rigorously assessed unmeasured confounding using e-values and high-dimensional propensity scoring. Furthermore,
we investigated effect modification by comorbidities, income level, and other key covariates. We conducted a related study and found 5% of respiratory TB patients in BC
received spirometry at treatment completion. TB programs could play a role in linking TB patients to primary care for common sequelae such as chronic airway disease.
